Developing an Environmental Management System (EMS)
Course Description:
As more customers expect sustainability from their suppliers, companies are starting to pay closer attention to the environmental impact in their value chains. To work with these customers and give your business a competitive advantage, you must show a commitment to protecting the environment. Do you have a documented system to demonstrate this commitment? It might sound like a daunting task, but it does not have to be. This course will help you develop a detailed environmental management system—an EMS—to demonstrate that you are doing your part to be an accountable partner and an environmental steward in your business operations.Â
Companies that assess, manage, and communicate their environmental performance grow faster than their competitors and help their local communities and the planet thrive. Did you know you can optimize your own energy use, lower your operating costs, improve your efficiency, and increase the value you bring to your customers by implementing an EMS?
During this course, we will develop an action plan to create and achieve your environmental objectives and reduction targets. Having a well-developed EMS will give your business a competitive edge and open your business to better opportunities. Your customers are looking for it, your suppliers value it, and it gives purpose to your employees.Â
