PG&E TAP LMS · March 8, 2023

Course Description:

What does a large corporation like PG&E expect from suppliers related to labor, ethics, health and safety, and the environment? Why should PG&E’s Code of Conduct or any company’s code of conduct matter to you and your organization?

The PG&E Supplier Code of Conduct describes the principles and standards of conduct that PG&E expects suppliers, their employees, subcontractors, and sub-suppliers to meet when they engage with PG&E. This course reviews each section of PG&E’s Supplier Code of Conduct and describes components of each topic, examples, and common risks related to each topic.

The course explores rules related to business ethics, health and safety standards, environmental and social issues, and day-to-day business operations that protect PG&E’s employees, communities, and customers.

Take this opportunity to learn how to:

  • avoid legal liabilities
  • mitigate negative impacts to people, the environment, the supply chain
  • protect your reputation
  • train your own team on compliance with any company’s code of conduct.

As Brooke Reilly, VP Supply Chain and Chief Procurement Officer, PG&E, explains, PG&E is committed to ethical business conduct and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies. PG&E expects contractors, consultants, suppliers, and vendors to share this commitment. This includes promoting and ensuring a strong safety culture, being environmentally responsible, and reporting concerns.
